The crew raised 1.500 Euro at their party in January. Mr Duve, their manager topped it up to make 6000 Euro! Many thanks to everybody, especially also to Jens Stapelfeldt and Stefan Ruffing! Their donation goes towards our primary school opening in January 2018. We are grateful for all the support

Money raised for iThemba primary school!
Monday, February 27, 2017
Great news for our iThemba School! A generous amount of money has been raised through the sales of Premium Economy upgrades on board Lufthansa flights. The sales of on-board items, where crews receive a commission, each crew members commission was simply collected into ‘one large pot’. Staff representatives expressed the wish that all the money raised should go towards iThemba School.
“Cape Town has many wonderful facets, and they are all worth a visit. And yet there is another side to the city; seen in the countless townships, where there is a high prevalence of poverty and violence. Children who grow up there have very little prospect of being able to make their own choices for their future lives. The only way out of this is through education”, said Susanne French, Help Alliance project leader.
This donation will enable them to establish a primary school.
Visitors at iThemba

Last week Tuesday, Susanne brought Kerstin Krowas and Mona Adler from Help Alliance to visit us. Martin Hutton Squire, one of the office bearers for the primary school also popped in to have a meeting with the ladies. We always enjoy having visitors :-)

Our children are doing lots of fun activities in these days! They are making faces from biscuits, icing sugar and sweets.
