|Students develop award winning business development concept for iThemba - Tuesday, January 12, 2016|
Expanding the iThemba preschool to a primary school and a Community College? Let’s go for it! The two students Lorrain de Silva (left) and Raoul Kammann (right), graduates of the Master's degree programme "Entrepreneurship & Business Development" at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, drew up an award-winning strategic business development concept for the further development of iThemba School in Cape Town, South Africa!
In their master’s thesis, Raoul and Lorrain built their concept around three pillars: An umbrella brand strategy, a cooperation network, and a fundraising concept. The school concept “community College” was designed from scratch by the two graduates: The focus shall be on adult education in line with the TVET Principle (Technical Vocational Education and Training) and the acquisition of knowledge and skills specifically for the work environment.
Raoul and Lorrain have been awarded for their master’s thesis and their social commitment with the graduation award of the University’s sponsoring association. The implementation of the business development concept is currently taking place; the completion of the new campus is planned for 2020.
